So post-TWS he seems relatively fine. Yeah, he's got some serious problems with agency and saying no and not instantly obeying what sounds like orders, but trauma recovery-wise, he seems to be doing pretty okay. Steve listens for sounds of distress outside his door at night and hears nothing. Natasha elbows him hard for drinking the last of the milk and he doesn't even flinch. Sam watches him carefully during the fireworks on the 4th of July and it looks like Sam and Steve are more afraid of the sounds than Bucky is.
Hell, when the Avengers plan to take down a big Hydra cell, Bucky volunteers to go in as a double agent and pretend to be the Asset, and he doesn't even seem concerned about it.
And no one realizes that just because he doesn't scream, doesn't mean he isn't terrified.
