1000% here for Steve and Bucky joking darkly about all the shit Hydra's pulled on them. But also Bucky remembering how desensitized he was to horror and dehumanization after he first escaped, and kind of looking sidelong at Steve like "oh boy, enjoy that lack of giveafuck while it lasts, because when it all finally hits you you're gonna be in a world of hurt."

And if they were in a relationship beforehand, and Steve was always really bashful and private and intense about sex... hello, novel variation on Bucky's broken dick. Steve? Steve's fine with resuming their sex life. Bucky asks if that's really a good idea, and Steve just gives this indifferent shrug and says it doesn't bother him and casually spreads his legs for Bucky to fuck him into the mattress. And it takes him a moment to understand why Bucky's looking at him like his heart just broke in two.

Yesssssss. And yeah, Steve's dick is probably pretty broken too if he's that disengaged from sex. He talks Bucky into fucking him, just to see what happens, and surprise! He's fine! ...because he has no feelings at all about it.

Or worse, Steve can get it up if Bucky helps him along a little... because his rapists used physical pleasure against him, so he figured out pretty quick how to check out and not resist his body's response to stimulation.

And maybe it's part of this conditioned response, like the Bucky's Broken Dick version where he gets aroused off of degrading shit.
