Re: Rumlow thinks he's in love

Think about Rumlow's burning jealousy about Steve! Imagine him trying to tear down Bucky's relationship; he doesn't love you, only I can love you. You think he wants you? After what they did to you, only I could ever want you. As his fury mounts the emotional torment starts to be accompanied by physical violence. He beats Bucky and whips him while shaming him, just wanting his compliant loving soldier back. and Bucky having to hear this over weeks and weeks as his nightmare worsens.

Think about Rumlow either needing a trigger word so Bucky can't fight back or drugs to keep him sedated, and in the latter case, Rumlow having to, like, drag or guide a stumbling, weak, near-paralyzed Bucky to the dinner table or the marriage bed.

Think about how the rapes would start off all gentle and seductive, full of sweet dirty talk, and then progress to brutality and violence as the weeks wore on and Bucky refused to capitulate.

Think about Rumlow hand-feeding Bucky all sweetly... because Bucky's wrists are bound behind his back.

Think about Steve finding Bucky after weeks of this, bound, cut up, bruised, woozy from drugs, raped, and them having to cope with the huge wound that's reopened. Because Bucky's done the hard work of being able to acknowledge this kind of treatment is rape and he's not at fault, but that doesn't mean all the shame and self-doubt isn't ready to come boiling back. All the tender difficult agonizing caretaking in the aftermath... plssss
