claustrophobia

In captivity, Bucky was often raped in his dark, cramped little cell. As a result, in recovery he suffers from extreme claustrophobia. He manages to disguise how crippling the problem is, but it's fairly obvious small spaces at least bother him.

Then one day he and Steve are out on a mission and there's a cave-in/detonation/earthquake and they find themselves stuck in a little pocket of space, in the rubble, underground. With no hope of escaping themselves, they're stuck waiting for rescue. Which might be okay, except Bucky starts to panic and can't stop. Cue Steve trying to comfort and support Bucky through the long hours in the stifling dark.

+ Bucky becomes a total wreck; panic attacks, difficulty breathing, clammy sweat, faintness. If he was also physically injured in the structural collapse that would be great. Like, he's so fucked up from this Steve's freaking out thinking he needs to get Bucky to a hospital somehow

+ Steve did not know Bucky was raped and this is how he finds out

+ not very many people could fit in his cell, so often there'd be a line out the door for gangbangs
