i love the way you're writing steve here. nearly all of his dialogue here is relatively light, but his trauma is lurking so closely under the surface “Whatever you want,” “Mmmm, you do it,” “As I’ll ever be,”

also the dissociation! you've written so well steve's little slips in and out of reality, how he'll find himself reminded of the assault and then immediately try (fail) to brush it off. Steve thought, Take it off, Captain, you won’t like it if we have to do it for you, but that was stupid. OH STEVE.

also bucky's "they can't make me hurt you again" is KILLING ME because the reveal/aftermath of this dissociation!sex is going to leave him feeling so so guilty. i can't WAIT

anyway this is lovely and has a lot of great subtleties to it. i can't wait to see what trashy places it goes!
