uncomfortable platonic sex

At some point after Bucky's escape, Hydra makes a last-ditch attempt to get him back. As an unfortunately literal fuck-you to Bucky, they activate some conditioned safety measures that cause Bucky to imprint on a handler. This process also forces Bucky to need regular fucking from that handler, for a very long period, or bad things start to happen to his body and mind. Through mishap on Hydra's part or willpower on Bucky's, the process is subverted so that Bucky imprints on Steve.

Which would be great, except Bucky and Steve only love each other platonically. Very, very platonically. The idea of fucking each other doesn't feel quite as gross as incest, but it's in the same family. And they have to find a way to fuck like bunnies.

+ awful, unsexy, uncomfortable sex

+ this is why Bucky comes in from the cold, and he immediately hits on Steve, who is so weirded out that his best friend is seducing him -- but after Steve is so obviously uninterested, Bucky has to tell him the truth

+ something where the miserable sex threatens their relationship, but maybe they overcome with the Power of Friendship, and maaaybe even find a way to find intimacy, comfort, and pleasure in their weird platonic sex life. Or maybe it ends miserably for everyone :D

+++ because of his past rapes, triggers, sexual issues, etc., the situation necessitates Bucky spilling a lot of the intimate and unsavory details of his sexual abuse and its psychological fallout to Steve. Which is agony for him to talk about, and it's even worse because he and Steve are platonic friends and Bucky doesn't see him as someone who belongs in the sexual sphere of Bucky's life, which includes knowing about and dealing with his rapes. But he has to talk about it anyway, which is so painful, because that's what I love
