just read this for the first time, and I know that after 2 years an update is unlikely, but i will keep hoping against all odds. you've crafted such a heart-wrenching story here. the dynamic between James, Sam, and Steve hurts so much because I can genuinely see why everyone feels the way that they do. I would love to see a story with such complex characterizations be brought to its conclusion, if you're ever able.
