I mean, a muzzle is normally used to keep things out of the mouth, right? How could that possibly be relevant?

A muzzle would prevent anyone from putting anything in its mouth or the Asset from biting or taking anything into its mouth that it isn't supposed to have. In case they run into someone and the Asset gets confused. A muzzle would prevent accidental misbehavior.

DA, How about headphones? The trigger words are a concern, after all.

Mild breathplay? How does that work if it's in his throat?

The monster is quick about it and the Asset doesn't get to the point of passing out, just choking on it a little before it goes down or out.
I was also referring the fact that I'd like the breathplay aspects of this present, but only mildly written about, if that makes sense. - op

After all of the issues with the programming and re-programming the Winter Soldier, Strucker tries a different method with his twins.

He bribes them both with sex.

Unlike the other handlers, however, he gives the twins their pick of the lot when it comes to partners, and makes very sure that his agents are gentle with the two of them, and that they get to enjoy it.

Wanda and Pietro are probably underage, and haven't so much as masturbated much less had sex before, so the whole concept kinda blows their minds. All they have to do is pick which soldier they think looks the best that day, lay back, and let that soldier pleasure them. It's fantastic!

What they don't realize is that Strucker is getting them addicted, and once they're hooked, they start to crave sex, which HYDRA is more than happy to provide, so long as they keep their asses in line.

As far as fic goes, I am okay with the training process where Strucker is monitoring one or both of the twins getting sexed up for the first time, or the after effects where the Avengers have to deal with the ridiculous libido that the twins have. Or even somewhere in the middle where the Winter Soldier and the twins are lined up for "recreational purposes" and Bucky is super fucking confused about why the two of them are so damn excited to get raped. Whatever tickles your fancy.

Dearest AA, please take this wherever you were planning -- I was just idly thinking muzzle, because I've been on a doggy!Bucky kick recently, and a muzzle would stop Bucky from biting and would also stop people from putting unwanted things in his mouth. But your Bucky here is clearly not a doggy!Bucky. Although ... a leash is a good way to keep other people safe, but there should be a good way to keep Bucky safe from other people, too. If it's just a leash, Bucky might be worried that he'd have to sit there and accept whatever other people deal out. Maybe his Winter Soldier mask, which (a) protects his mouth, and (b) gives him implicit permission to to into WS mode and defend himself?

Anyway, that was just me idly brainstorming. Will be happy with whatever you'd decided.

While this isn't intended as a full on doggy!Bucky story I do have a kink for pet-play the size of the moon. I was planning from the start on incorporating quite a number of those elements, but not in an overt doggy!Bucky sense.
So while there will be a number of props of that category (Yes. muzzle, collar, crawling etc) the point won't be to get the Asset into an explicit Puppy-space mindset.

Stepping out of the Asset's POV to explain the situation.
The long term goal is to get the Asset socialized with non-handler people in a setting that doesn't involve it being passed around like a party favor.
Unfortunately this has to be done in stages since the Asset still doesn't trust anyone who is not Handler Rogers and literally can't process the idea that it deserves better without flipping out in a WS!rampage.
Primarily, the safety gear is designed to make the Asset harmless to other people because it really is a danger to others. It isn't allowed to fight anymore for this reason, remember.
Secondly, the safety gear is also designed to make the Asset feel protected from people taking sexual advantage of its helpless state. Though this is, in reality, unnecessary because the Avengers would never do something like that to it. The Asset believes they will however, because that is the only reality it can understand.
By "pretending" to be possessive of the Asset and staking his "claim" on it with the safety gear, Steve hopes to enable the Asset to take the first steps towards trusting people.

You are absolutely correct on every point, except that the Asset does not have permission to "go into WS mode and defend himself".

So the Asset can chill out and relax because there is no way anyone can do anything truly bad to it when it wears the safety gear.
The apartment has become the Asset's safety zone, Handler Rogers it's safety person and the safety gear is literally it's "safety gear".

Just like they programed the winter soldier into Bucky, the programed "the hound", a headspace modeled after a hunting dog. An accident leaves Bucky stuck as the Hound and Tony trying to care for a distrustful and snappish "dog" while he waits for Steve to come.

Leashes and muzzles are okay, but I'd like to see some trust built up between them despite their mutual fear/distaste in the beginning. Also Tony gaining some insight into how Hydra treated Bucky (and perhaps relating to some of it).

Some of you may have noticed a similarity between Asset Management and many of Dsudis's works.
This is not a coincidence. I was hugely inspired by their stories such as 'Dinner for Two', 'A Thread of Light' and their currently ongoing AMAZING 'All These Burning Hearts in Hell' series.
Dsudis is truly the giant on who's shoulders I stand. They were the one who introduced me to the breathtaking dumpster world.

I just wanted to give proper credit where it is deserved.

So I'm a sucker for infantilized!WS and infantilized!Bucky in general and there are a lot of great fics (such as Lauralots') that have that dynamic. But I want more!

I really want a fic where Bucky was infantilized as the Winter Soldier to control him. I think it would be really interesting / extra evil if he was given a stuffed animal that he only got to hold after the mission was complete. (Maybe he even went back for it after he got away from HYDRA? Maybe Steve stages a teddy-bear-rescue after he saves Bucky, or he gives Bucky a new toy?)

Either way, Bucky works through a lot of his (known) issues and him and Steve enter back into a relationship and Bucky starts working with the avengers but, after every mission, he wants Steve to hold him and rock him and give him his stuffed animal and tell him everything is fine but he's super ashamed that he wants this. And Steve perhaps doesn't handle it great at first? But then gets on board.

out of curiosity, if I wrote a fill set in the same universe as my other fic, on a day when Bucky is Not Okay for getting fucked (or perhaps earlier on in his recovery when he has yet to reclaim that activity?) would that... be of interest? Totally okay to say no obviously!

For a second, before I read the prompt, I thought you were suggesting a Game of Thrones crossover and I was really confused. Great prompt, though !

The red book with its trigger words were kept in a single copy in a secure location, offered only to trusted personnel. Obviously Red HYDRA wouldn't want just anybody who could operate the cryochamber to be able to deploy the Winter Soldier.

Suppose that this was also because once the words were spoken and the Asset recognized a handler and received a mission, they couldn't be over-ruled except by hitting the Asset very hard in the head.

Steve & Co. (or for extra trust issues, Tony & Co.) for some reason have to thaw Bucky out and take him on a mission or flee. The enemy has Bucky's code words and a bullhorn.

The only way to keep Bucky out of enemy hands is to say the code words and give him a mission before the enemy does.

You know that set photo with Stan on the bridge, people around him fixing his hair? It made me want this:

The Winter Soldier isn't really people, but he's not exactly an item, either. And he's just so good at what he does, his handlers are proud of him! Dotes on him a bit, like he's a pet that has done something well.

It's not sexual or deliberate pet play and Bucky doesn't think of himself as an animal (as the Winter Soldier, he doesn't really think of himself as anything much at all), Hydra is just weird about their perfect assassin. He's so strong! So fast! So effective! They can't help but treating him with a certain amount of twisted fondness.

This probably gets difficult to explain to people once he's free and still really, really enjoys having his hair petted after missions.

I bet Strike are mostly super fond of him and gives him all sorts of nice treats.
Like: Brock shares a candy bar with him.
Murphy gives him a back, neck and shoulder massage that's supposes to ease the energy flow between chacras (it doesn't really do that, but it sure feels excellent for tense, strained muscles.
Someone does his hair, brushes it out gently and thoroughly until it's all silky and the Asset is almost purring with bliss.
Rollins invites him for a game of something.
Letting him get clean in an actual shower after a mission, with some fluffy-smelling shower gel (well, it actually chose Mercer's girly flowery crap over Brock's Axe)
If you want sexual nice trash, maybe a list of the times someone got it off?
