I keep envisioning Hydra sitting around him, armed with... hair dryers. Thawing him out like one of those frozen mammoth carcasses.

Inspired by the recent Jack/Sam fill, tho with a bit of a different angle

After Brock gets his face deep fried in helicarrier fuel Jack goes on a lil revenge quest. While his husband is in a medically induced coma and p much dead to the world he hunts down every single member of team cap and tortures them as payback for what happened to Brock.

Turns out Jack is really good at this torture stuff.

+++Uncomfortably sexualized violence (stun batons going where stun batons shouldnt, loaded gun down the throat, castration etc etc) that never turns into full on sex (despite the person being tortured expecting it to), as Jack Rollins is a happily married man and that'd be cheating.

+++++Someone (Bucky most likely) actually unwillingly reacting to pain with arousal and Jack being grossed out like 'plz I'm married put ur dick away u nasty slut'

Aaahh, I remember this prompt and this is excellent trash. Bucky’s awkward advice at the end, the ‘comfort over pride’ line was great. Also the whole bit of dialogue ending in:
“And I know how good guys like you get. You wouldn’t be able to live with yourself knowing that you pawned off getting raped for Cap’s old best friend to get it instead.”
Yeah, I hadn’t thought about it but that very much works for Sam! Anyway, well done.

I'd love to see this filled though, the possibilities are amazing. Like, someone in the team realizing what's going on and playing up their exhaustion in order to mess with it? Or the asset going too far and hurting a Hydra goon's pulled muscle or something?

Oh Holy Shit A!A, this feels like kismet, I haven't had a chance to check the meme in a while and I finally swing idly by only to find my favorite prompt of all time has a fantastic scorchingly hot fill?! It's TOO much. And by "my" I do mean I'm the OP so for what that's worth - at any rate this is so fucking good, all that great manhandling content, Sam's good looks #acknowledged, the sheer fucking dread of "Between you and me, is a little personal" DAMN... and then Bucky trying to help Sam in the most unhelpful way, SHIT, I love this.

OP. Savior? I enjoyed that a lot but I’m looking for less fear on the team/handler’s side and more desperation and at least attempted humiliation for the asset.

Thank you! I wanted to write HYDRA Husbands a little different than usual, in a more "healthy" relationship, as Rollins would call it because I think it's an interesting dynamic.

Thank you! I know it wasn't in the prompt, but I really wanted an awkward as hell scene with Bucky trying to be helpful, as best as his programming and limited understanding would let him.
I think that line can apply to most of the Avengers, but especially ones like Sam who go out of their way to help people, even if they're strangers. Especially when you consider how much he looks up to Steve and wants to help him.

I loved the prompt when I saw it, and I wasn't going to write it because it was so old but I couldn't stop thinking about it so I finally caved and wrote it. I'm so glad you enjoyed it, thank you!

bucky goes after a hydra cell with steve. the mission goes bad. they get separated and bucky gets knocked unconscious. when he wakes up he realizes that he got captured by a somehow still alive brock rumlow. rumlow wants revenge. he threatens to kill steve who is supposedly being tortured and about to be killed in another cell if bucky doesn’t play along. bucky then does increasingly humiliating things to himself, allowing the hydra goons to abuse him any way they want to save steve. at the end of it, rumlow brutally rapes a completely unresisting, broken-down bucky and whispers in his ear that they never had steve in the first place. when rumlow is done with him, bucky gets thrown out like trash (naked and flithy) for steve to find.

So I guess most of us are familiar with the classic trope of 'Rumlow sent to seduce Steve to get him to cooperate'. Which usually ends pretty badly for Steve, being on the receiving end of Rumlow's affection/manipulation.

What I wanna see is a twist on that trope, where Rumlow ends up being the one getting hurt physically/emotional due to faking consent. Like he absolutely does not want to have sex with Steve but someone higher up told him his leadership in STRIKE depends on it so he plays along.

Not asking for evilgoodguy Steve, just Steve not figuring out that Rumlow is in a position where he's pretty much forced to consent even when he really doesn't want to and not having any bad intentions behind the act, thinking that what is happening is fully consensual.

+ Rumlow bottoming and not enjoying any of it, not being aroused etc and Steve attributing that to himself being a bit rusty fresh out of cryo and not being able to make Rumlow feel good, rather than Rumlow actually being in pain due to insufficient prep and just not wanting to be doing what he's doing

+ Rumlow being absolutely disgusted with himself afterwards while Steve remains pretty much oblivious

++++++++++++++ Hydra husbands h/c, Rumlow feeling awful bcos even technically what happened was not consensual he still feels like he cheated on Jack, and Jack comforting him afterwards

Inspired by the trash aspect in that last “bucky degrades himself for nothing” prompt:

Bucky is no longer useful to Hydra as an asset so they do a number on him and dump him at Steve’s front door like that.
Now Steve has to deal with clean up and a traumatized Winter Soldier who’s dead convinced he’ll be turned away again because he‘s just a worthless piece of trash that no one wants.

So I wrote something a while back that might be RTYI: https://archiveofourown.org/works/11064435/chapters/25848885 It's a short fic written for a prompt, about Brock suffering after his first time with Steve (it was like in your prompt - Brock got an order he didn't like) and seeking comfort from Jack who can't/doesn't want to offer it because he's hurt by the whole situation as well.

Gah, I’m so here for this, it’s so awful. I’m imagining Bucky at the start, when Rumlow first delivers the ultimatum (“play along or we hurt him.”) trying to reassure himself that Steve got out, he was so sure of it, maybe let himself get captured to make sure things turned out that way. But maybe Rumlow has some kind of faked “proof” - a scrap of Steve’s uniform, audio of him screaming, a severed finger or something equally grisly.

And Bucky begins to doubt himself. What if they really do have Steve? Is he really gonna gamble with Steve’s life just to avoid a little temporary discomfort? Not like it’s anything he hasn’t already been through before; he can take this, if it means sparing Steve.

(He can’t think about the alternative: that it might all be for nothing.)

OP here, I pretty much live in the Rumlow/Rollins ao3 tag so yes I'm familiar with your writing. Gets me right in the feelings, every single goddamn time, this chapter included. Personally I'm a sucker for some comfort to go with the hurt and for the prompt I'm looking for something more explicit, but the way you manage to imply things and set the mood in this entire fic is gorgeous and haunting and so well done. Had the best/worst time re reading all of it.

HYDRA programmed the asset to _need_ punishment after a rule infraction (or just at regular intervals)---if it feels like it's done something wrong and doesn't get its regular dose of brutal torture, it starts to shut down...

At some point in time Bucky finds his way back to Steve, whom he thinks is his handler. Bucky can't live without the pain, and Steve is so hopelessly in love that he would do anything to keep his Bucky, so punishment ensues...
