Gonna be honest with u here: reading thru part 1, I wasn't sure if this was gonna be exactly my kind of thing. I guess the whole Steve spoiling bucky with sweets situation brought it pretty close to the weight gain/obesity/feeding kink which is a big fat (pun not intended lol) NO for me, and personally I'd have gone in a more 'grown man Bucky decides that it's reasonable to skip his workout every once in a while' direction, rather than 'infantilized Bucky collects kinder toys, gets fat'.
However, I kept reading and I am glad I did cuz. Hoooo boy. You really did it with part 2. It all worked so well. Rumlow's dialogue. The way the words make Bucky see himself. The aftermath. Exactly what I was looking for, and very masterfully written too. (I absolutely loved that lil bit about Bucky noticing that Rumlow ain't that cute nowadays either)
