The Asset is hurt badly on a mission. He can't heal while in cryo, so the Asset receives a body cast and personal caretaker(s) in the form of the agent(s) responsible for this fuck-up.

It's a lousy job, suddenly going from being a decently respected HYDRA agent to wiping the Asset's ass, but there are some perks, namely that while the Asset is wrapped in plaster from feet to chest, unable to move, with his legs forcibly spread wide, they have to leave a hole for bodily functions.

Any decent HYDRA agent (or creative dumpster diver) can come up with a few more functions for a helpless, fully immobile Asset with perpetually exposed ass and genitals.



+Asset is not given painkillers and feels everything and too much of it, especially when the fucking gets violent to aggravate his injuries
++Asset is using diapers since he can't use the restroom in this state. Since it's the only time he's covered and not being raped, he starts finding it comforting
+++Hydra agent(s) presents everything as totally legitimate medical treatment and the Asset isn't fully sure what is and what isn't
++++Hydra agent(s) really leaning into how helpless the Asset is now. Poor soldier, can't take care of itself at all
+++++Asset is out of cryo for much longer than usual during this and Bucky starts resurfacing enough to really appreciate how humiliating this is

++++++post-WS(/CW) Bucky ends up with similar injuries and needing a similar treatment, but even if Bucky knows consciously that Steve/the doctors (who have no idea about his past experience) are genuinely just trying to give him legitimate medical attention/caretaking, it's just a real shitstorm of nonstop triggers
