'Flounce' is not some cunning new insults I've made up - it's a common term for a very specific behaviour wherein someone who's been involved in online wank makes a melodramatic ~goodbye cruel world~ post about how they're leaving forever because you big pack of meanies wouldn't give me what I wanted and look, aren't you all sorry now? For examples of a flounce post, you can look through Google or just browse upthread a bit. Scout's honour, I have never once used the word to refer to someone quietly leaving a discussion they got tired of and I'm not about to start now.
