I'd love a short-n-sweet character study kind of fic on how Steve might go about admitting to a partner that he's been on the receiving end of some pretty brutal sexual violence. Given that:
- he's big on honesty and doing the right thing, so he'll probably hit a point where he feels duty-bound to be up-front about it - he tends to downplay his own pain, through wry self-deprecation when necessary - he's terminally awkward about anything--especially sexual--that makes him uncomfortable
I'm especially thinking of him answering questions about his sexual history with something like "no--well, not as a willing participant, anyway" or "you know, I've made a career out of pissing off people who don't exactly follow the Geneva Conventions" and the entire conversation screeching to a halt when his partner processes what he's saying.
