OP: I just need to say that I love everything about this. I like how Bucky is then rocking Steve and telling him how good he is (cause, come on, Steve needs that too) and I love Steve's admission at the end - that the bear had grown on him. Especially the "It wasn’t so hateful, Steve thought. It seemed sad." Yes. I am here for grown men having emotions over stuffed animals. And I'm glad Bucky admitted to still wanting the bear a little, even though he no longer needs it. I love him realizing he gets to want things now, not just need things.
I also like how Steve didn't realize he was tucking Bucky into his bed until he'd already done it.
