So... compared to all the other stuff (the torture, the drugs, the forced assassinations, etc), Bucky doesn’t think the rape that he endured was that bad -- sure, it hurt, but it hurt less than the torture, and he didn't have to hurt other people. What's another loss of body autonomy amongst so many others?

And then he sees how other people react to it. Maybe he mentions some of the rape stuff off-hand, or maybe the general topic of rape comes up in discussion, or maybe he sees something in media. Basically, Bucky was fine about his rapes until he gets a barrage of society telling him it was the worst, most shameful thing that could happen. Plus a dose of victim-blaming.

I'd be interested in seeing how Bucky'd react. Self-blame? Rage? Confusion? Who would he turn to to guide him? (Steve? Natasha? Sam? Someone else?) How would it affect his existing relationship(s)?

Bonuses:
- his existing partner seeing very drastic changes in Bucky's behavior and having to investigate
- the Avengers are not immune to this, and react in a way that further reinforces Bucky's new understanding of rape
- Bucky being very clueless/confused by a lot of the social reactions to his mention of rape
