Are any characters off limits in your trash fic? I just read a disturbing one with elderly Peggy Carter getting tormented. That seemed very very wrong.

No. Just stop. There's no such thing as "off-limits" characters; that's why Trashmod kindly put up a "BLANKET NON-CON AND NSFW WARNINGS" sign on the dumpster lid. Trash-party gender equality means horrible badwrong situations for everyone, not just the guys. Don't like, don't read; your kink is not my kink, etc.

What's up with this sudden influx of people telling everyone what they can and can't write? This isn't your Social Justice knitting club, it's an open-invitation rape party. Geez.

OP did say off limits in YOUR trash, not everyone else's. I know things have been bizarrely wanky lately but can we not jump directly for each other's throats?

OP asked about off-limits characters after reading a fic someone else wrote and finding it "very, very wrong." This to me sounds like underhanded kinkshaming.

I agree. And I've been seeing a lot of the opposite recently. This is a rape meme, but that's not an excuse. Most of us are posting anon, but that doesn't mean we get to turn this place into Bitchfest 2015

Same tbh I'm here specifically because I'm tired of Tumblr telling me how horrible I am for enjoying garbage. So while I personally have a few hard limits in my trash can, I don't tend to publicize them because I don't want someone else feel to like shit for enjoying those tropes.

Um, I have a lot of things I don't want to read about even in trash fic, and I'm not obligated to enjoy your kink just because you like it. I don't like reading rapefic featuring female characters; sue me.

I mean, I get what you're saying about kink-shaming, but (a) I don't think that's what the OP was doing and (b) you could have made the same point without the snide little 'maybe you're just not ~hardcore~ enough' aside.

As the author of the ONLY !oldPeggy getting tormented by Brock Rumlow fic on Ao3, I'm actually pretty chuffed that it disturbed you enough to post about it here.

Might I add that it is in character, my Rumlow is an evil bastard with his own agenda(s), everything is tagged appropriately and villains do villainous things while being charming because that's how they get away with it.
