I felt the need to defend myself after the replies I got here: http://hydratrashmeme.dreamwidth.org/1504.html?thread=1562080#cmt1562080 and I didn't want to spam the prompts post with it, so I figured this was the only place left, I hope that's okay.

I do not, under ANY circumstance, think that Steve and the Avengers would be okay with it at all, I specified "Trash!Avengers and Trash!Steve AU" for that exact reason.

I guess my mistake was interpret "dark!good guys AUs" in a different way, probably because I find many of the prompts and fics here consist of exactly that, so I'm not sure where the line is drawn.

While I agree with the anons saying your prompt imply good guys would be turned in bad guys, I agree with you about your confusion. There's plenty of OOCness in this meme whom I'd expect did granted for the freezing or deletion of so many prompts and stories, and yet only good guys turned bad or the vice versa, bad guys turned good, get the ban instead. I think it's just this mod disliking those specifically, or just those tropes being easier to pinpoint from the bunch, conversely to the general OCCness. *shrudges*

I don't think OOC-ness is against the rules. A lot of prompts are crackfic for the purposes of humor, absurdity, or porn, so of course they are OOC. What is adamantly not allowed here is stuff that blurs lines about ethics. They don't want good characters like the Avengers being rapists, and they don't want evil characters being excused for their behavior. That's a consistently applied rule.

I know some people like Dark!Avengers and stuff, but there are other places to do it, and I kind of like the strong line that is taken here. It makes for an interesting community that is full of awful porn and awful jokes, but is also very accountable.

Whereas I fail to see their confusion, and yours, when the rules clearly state the AUs which aren't permitted on the meme (dark!Avengers being only one of several).

Any way you slice this one: OP posted a prompt for Steve and the Avengers raping Bucky; prompt broke the rules; prompt got frozen; OP is now crying about it in the chatter post (instead of acting constructively and reposting their prompt to capkink/avengerkink, where it might get filled).

OOCness, grousing about trashmod's ~ulterior motives~, or the injustice of which AUs are/aren't allowed is pretty much irrelevant when the OP's prompt didn't even mention HYDRA, or HYDRA-affiliated characters, on a HYDRA meme!

I think you just don't understand what constitutes a dark!good guys AU, honestly, because literally none of the prompts/posts here fit in that category; prompts for the good guys to do evil things have been banned since the beginning of the kinkmeme.

The HYDRA trash party is about HYDRA doing badwrong things and/or the good guys dealing with the fallout of HYDRA doing badwrong things. Period. AUs are only allowed insofar as they fit within this configuration. However, your prompt called for the good guys to do badwrong things, which is not what this kinkmeme is about.

YES: Steve has non-con sex with Bucky because HYDRA forces him, brainwashes him, or engineers a fuck-or-die situation and it's the only way to save Bucky's life. This is rape-by-proxy with HYDRA as the rapist while both Steve and Bucky are victims, and is allowed by the rules.

NO: Steve deliberately "triggers Bucky and enjoys every second of it" and "would not want to stop himself," as stated in your prompt. Steve is the rapist and Bucky is the victim. This is a dark!good guys AU, which is not allowed by the rules.

TL;DR: Don't submit prompts for good guys to be rapists. It's really not that confusing.
