with regard to the comments about people being inappropriately voyeuristic towards famous people's traumas, case in point, the Bill Cosby scandal.

Raven Symone had to publicly debunk the idea that Cosby had done anything to her. Cosby gets accused of rape by several women, and the first thing people wanted to know was "did he molest any of his well known costars?" And it makes sense to ask that (current popular theory is that Lisa Bonet knows something) but the first potential victim they thought of was the one who was three years old when they worked together. And something tells me they weren't asking such an invasive question directly to her, and in public, because they were genuinely concerned about her feelings. Maybe some of them thought they were, but they were really just hoping for the very worst possible scenario to be true.

So I'm imagining people asking Bucky to confirm or deny lists of famous people who might've assaulted him, or making up conspiracy theories about famous people who were never actually involved.

Yeah, it would be like a fun game for conspiracy theorists. There's "Which important twentieth-century personages were Hydra?" and "Which unsolved assassinations are the work of the Winter Soldier?" and now there's also "Which important twentieth-century personages fucked the Winter Soldier?"

Oh, can you see it? People you don't like thrown under the bus. People that these nosy people want to picture fucking Bucky accused, hoping they're right. And there's nearly a whole century and several government agencies to point fingers at, so Bucky just has this never ending list of people who the public thinks are sketchy, hot or both, that he has to confirm/deny/dodge the question on altogether and it just never ends. At some point they're dragging up minor Russian politicians of the 1950's just to ask and watch him squirm.

Yes, let's talk about Bucky as a controversial public figure, getting subjected to verbal harassment, inappropriate questions, and victim-blaming ALL THE TIME, no matter how hard he shuts it down.
