(Anonymous) 2015-03-25 11:59 pm (UTC)(link)for me personally? both as a rape survivor and as, you know, just a person who likes transparency, i would much rather read dubcon/noncon that is obviously called as such & that meets those issues head on.
as opposed to like, getting halfway through a story i think is going to be nice and fluffy and then encountering a really pushy, coercive sex scene. i hate that crap! and that crap is EVERYWHERE.
idk these days i pretty much only read fic where (a) the consent practices are like REALLY explicit & there's a lot of in-story negotiation or where (b) the sexual situations are Definitely Bad and are treated as such. but that's just me.
