Chatter post

For all your discussion needs.

Ground rules:
- Try to keep it loosely trash party related, or at least Cap fandom related.
- Disagreement is fine, nastiness is not.
- Being offended is not carte blanche for nastiness.
- Trashmeme ground rules apply. Read at your own risk, no romanticizing your noncon garbage, no wank about the moral acceptability of noncon kink.
- Body shots, sniper shots, and tetanus shots are all available at the open bar. Party like it's 2014, kids.

Re: No-go Kinks that go together?

I've been really lucky with the NSFW content in my current fandoms, but there's always a couple of things that are hard to separate. I like to read fairly intense domination/torture and it usually includes exactly the type of humiliation that sends me running for the hills. Like, I want to see them try to break the submissive character - I want them to try really hard - but, for it not to work very well? (It certainly needs to work in some way or it's not really torture...) It's hard to describe where that line is, but a lot of the stoic!Steve trash really does it for me, so there you go. Also, discovering that 'voluntary feminization' is a thing has made me a very happy reader.

I hadn't weighed in on the A/B/O thread, but that seems like the perfect storm - a bunch of wildly disparate kinks that all get written together, so you either love it or hate it (or are conflicted, like some of us here). Personally I love the intensely physical desperation and the fucked-up dynamics, but breeding (and especially forced breeding) is 1000% not my kink. And some of the more science fiction-y bits just make me giggle, which is probably not the intended result :)

Hmm, now I'm wondering if there are A/B/O fans who are totally into the breeding and gender roles and all that jazz, but find some other aspect of it unappealing. I'd love to figure out where the overlap is for different preferences.
