The general theme of htp IS non-con. If you read the rules/top level posts or the fanlore page, you can see the basic idea of it was based on this. I personally enjoy some of the non-sexual stuff, but I have to admit it's an offshoot of the original idea. That's why it makes up the minority of prompts.

As for your second question, I don't really see people acting the way you're saying (i.e. denying it's a kink). Also, whether the prompts are about rape or something else wouldn't define whether people have a kink.

(OP) Ah I get it. The htp IS mostly meant for non-con. I just hoped there would be more than only the little non-con there is.

Then be the change you want to see, anon. Do you prompt any non-non-con ideas you want to see written? Do you comment on fills that you like, to encourage the authors to write more in that vein? Do you beta for authors writing those stories? Do you write stories about the non-non-con ideas that you think should be here? What do you contribute to the fandom, yourself?

It's an anon meme, there's no membership test you have to pass before you're allowed to start requesting/writing/commenting here. If you want something the dumpster isn't currently providing, you can pitch in and write it yourself, or leave a prompt and see if someone else takes it up.

I think the crux of this question is that the Hydra Trash Meme is not a hive mind. Different people are here for different reasons - some of us are here mainly for the sex, some for the non-sexual hurt/comfort, and depending on who you talk to you're going to get different answers. Just because we're not currently writing the thing you want to see doesn't mean there won't be people excited about it, if you step up and put it out there.
