(Anonymous) 2017-11-29 06:18 am (UTC)(link)And on a pure etiquette level, hijacking (especially hijacking that denigrates the original) is the rude way to deal with prompts that are one or two fundamental changes away from being something you really want. "Hey, I got inspired and wrote something but it wasn't really what you asked for, where should I put it?" is the most polite way I can think of to tackle it--it's an awkward situation, but it happens.
