Oh god, and perhaps Bucky thinks Steve is going to kick him out of the apartment/Tower and he knows he should just go on his own but he can't bring himself to do it (and hates himself for this of course) and so just lives in both resignation and terror of the final goodbye. And tries to make himself as scarce as possible in the meantime. (Or maybe he actually does leave and Steve has to go find him, which could maybe be the catalyst for some actual communication, please lord).

And then, AND THEN, once it all comes out in the open and Steve is just sort of emotionally writhing in agony over hurting Bucky he tries to figure out if, what? They *should* have sex now? He should prove to Bucky how much he still wants him while they're both at about the lowest they've ever been? I can't figure out if I want Steve to make some kind of desperately gently, horror-stricken move or not, and how Bucky should then react.

YES I love the idea of Bucky living in terror of leaving -- and shame, because why can't he just be strong and fuck off when he's not wanted? What's the matter with him? Is he that desperate? I can see him snapping, throwing his shit into a duffel, and disappearing, which would freak Steve the hell out.

OMG, this is so filthy, I love it.

All I need in life is Hydra-era post-mission fic where a violent mission gets Rumlow so hot that he's desperate to tear the asset's clothes off the moment they get back to the safehouse. A frantic, rushed, dirty rape ensues.

+ Rumlow's eagerness contrasted with Bucky's visible fear and reluctance. He orders Bucky to strip, but when his hands falter on his belt buckle Rumlow slaps them away and rips it off himself; he bites at Bucky's neck and shoulders in a frenzy as Bucky tries to concentrate on staring into the distance.

+ In Rumlow's haste, he tears Bucky and hurts him.

+ Many of the things that are huge turn-ons for Rumlow are sources of horror and disgust for Bucky. Like the mission, which got Rumlow hard but was distressing for Bucky. For Rumlow, the drying blood on Bucky's hands is hot, it symbolizes power. But Bucky just keeps begging to at least be allowed to wash up first, please, he doesn't want to get fucked covered in gore, please.

Everybody knows that among the intelligence community at large, The Asset is a myth. A ghost. But what happens if you move high up enough in the food chain in HYDRA?

He turns into a tourist attraction. If the scheduling is right, and you're high enough in the food chain to know that the Asset exists, then a chance to see the Asset is a Big Deal. It doesn't happen often, but there's enough FNG VIPs at HYDRA angling to meet the legend himself (and don't read the freakin' manual about What Not To Do) that they have to put in a trigger word for a 'safety'. His many combat skills get disabled until the companion word to re-arm him gets said. Shut off the arm, and he's harmless. Can't even throw a punch.

And Captain America is back on his Roaring Rampage Of Revenge after a brief detour in eastern Europe. With the Asset's programming clearly compromised to some degree ('Who the hell is Bucky?'), HYDRA decides the Asset can perform one last mission for them. They give him a full wipe, give him the disarm trigger word and drop him somewhere that Steve can find him. Steve's still wanting go on his RROR, but he won't leave Bucky. So HYDRA gets breathing room, the Asset completes one more mission for HYDRA, and Steve gets Bucky back.

Everybody comes out ahead. Except Bucky. Who's completely defenseless and has no idea what's going on.

Hydra had a rule about fucking the asset: go ahead, but first administer the sex pollen.

(Why? Maybe to protect his punishment/reward conditioning by avoiding unnecessary torture; maybe it's the only safe way and otherwise he lashes out; maybe they find his desperation hilarious; etc etc.)

Anyway, the most important point is that however this was done, Bucky never notices. He has no idea he's been dosed, and when the effects hit, always believes it's his own natural reaction to what's happening. He's desperate for it while the rapes are in progress - it's only later, once they're done and the drugs have worn off, that he experiences the shame, the humiliation at the way he debased himself, the retrospective terror, and the dread of next time. He just cannot understand why he acts that way as soon as they put their hands on him.

A thousand bonus points for post-WS Bucky who fully believes all these encounters were consensual, even though he burns with shame just thinking about them. Especially if he's in a relationship with Steve that's fraught with a number of difficulties because of his symptoms of sexual trauma, and he can't understand why he's got problems now, when he felt such wild lust when it was Hydra fucking him. Basically I would love a Bucky who thinks he must be the incurable kind of sick for how he acted back then - and for how he can't act that way for Steve now.

I play this game more than is probably healthy, and have a number of different character files (Bucky's a mino addict whoops). But now I can't get the thought of Lethice being Red Skull and Pierce being Ceraph with those fetish piercings.

Maybe HYDRA techs have been playing around with the cryo settings, or maybe somebody tried to introduce some new programming with a major glitch, but the asset develops a malfunction: random crying. At least, the scientists have assured STRIKE and everyone that it's random, thenothing to worry about, the asset is fundamentally incapable of emotion. He doesn't do it in the middle of actively carrying out his missions, but pretty much any other time it's possible he may break out in tears. Sometimes it's just his eyes welling up, sometimes it goes all the way to wracking sobs that go on for hours (keeping grumpy STRIKE members awake in the field). Once he cried so hard he threw up, but after recognizing that there's no pattern to it (doesn't happen when he's injured, punished, tortured, involved in particularly grisly collateral damage, etc) his handlers are generally either just amused or mildy annoyed by the displays and life goes on while they wait for Tech to fix their mistake.

Except, of course, (and here's where I burn a cone of ashtray-incense to the creativity of my fellow trashbabies) one handler finally realizes it's not random at all. The Asset is definitely experiencing pain/grief/horror/humiliation, it's just that what triggers him is completely different from what you would expect in an actual human being. So this handler (I'd love Rollins, but anybody, or an OC is fine) is now the only one who is aware of asset's devasting emotional life - what he does with this information is up to you.

I feel the story should be about how Bucky really wants to have positive sexual experiences to reclaim his body and just because he likes sex! He's not that bothered about the crying. But everything always goes badly because of how other people react. He just tries to pick up a stranger and have fun, but the stranger freaks out because Bucky is crying. Rinse and repeat. If he tries to have sex with one of his friends things will be even worse, the person will be upset forever about how traumatized Bucky is. Maybe he and Steve used to be together but Bucky pretends he's not interested anymore because he doesn't want to make Steve upset by crying during sex.

Actually I feel like this is kind of a crackfic, but oh well. It is making me smile to think about it.

Actually that's a super sweet idea, omg. Maybe he does finally take Steve to bed, and of course Steve stops to check that Bucky's okay, but when he's reassured that Bucky's happy they keep going and Steve just acts really normal about it and it turns out to be a great experience. Which is especially nice because of all the strangers, acquaintances, and friends that freaked out earlier!

What if Steve discovers this, humiliating situation at all, because Bucky's been accepting an extra few bucks to be filmed, shading over into super shady amateur porn? This is even worse than HYDRA's sex tapes getting out, because it really is sorta consensual, and he's participating enthusiastically to earn his pay. And Steve didn't just walk in on some frozen moment--he's seen the whole thing play out, and so have a thousand other people.
