Dumpster #3: The Great Pacific Garbage Patch

Holy shitballs, look at us go. Welcome to Captain America fandom's resident wretched hive of scum and villainy: ROUND THREE. AKA Bad Guys Do Dirtybadwrong Things To Your Faves, AKA the Hydra Trash Party kinkmeme. As usual, BLANKET NON-CON AND NSFW WARNINGS apply: just assume going in that everything in this landfill is unfit for human consumption.

Rules in brief: don't be a jerk except to fictional characters, warnings for particularly fucked-up garbage are nice but not required, thou shalt not judge the trashiness of thy neighbor's kinks unless thy neighbor is trying to pass off their rotting banana peels and half-eaten pizza crusts as a healthy romantic dinner for two, off-topic comments may be chucked out of the dumpster at management's discretion, management's discretion decrees that omegaverse, soulbond AUs, D/s-verse, non-superpowered AUs, and dark!good guys AUs are off-topic.

[Round 1] [Round 2] [Fill post] [Chatter post] [hydratrashmeme Pinboard archive (maintained by [personal profile] greenkirtle)] [Round 3 in flat view (comments in non-threaded chronological order, most recent last)]

Round 3 is closed; comments and fills in existing threads are still welcome, but all new prompts go to Round 4.

Lol this contrasts so much with my prompt above it.
I kinda like this D: Mainly cause of the horribleness and possibly Bucky breaking down and Steve feeling horribly guilty because he can't even protect his friend.
Even better if someone reacts badly when hearing about it like "Again? Really?" and Bucky feeling guilty like he somehow brought it on himself

Yes to this prompt and yes to this comment. I could see someone having that reaction and poor Bucky, who probably already thinks this has to be his fault since no one else is being repeatedly assaulted like this, taking that really badly.

People's reactions to this would be the worst! We're talking everything from outright disbelief to compassion fatigue to Steve's increasingly rampant and paranoid and kind of accidentally condescending protectiveness (because it's not like Steve consciously believes Bucky can't take care of himself, but at the same time he obviously can't stop THIS from happening). People no longer say you're safe now, no one will hurt you again. Instead, people gently interrogate whether he's delusional, or, if there are other witnesses or the physical evidence is undeniable, they ask him what extra steps could he be taking to protect himself? Do you accept drinks from strangers? Do you take the same route every day? Are you sure you aren't being careless?
