(Anonymous) 2015-10-16 01:31 am (UTC)(link)Bucky gets kind of cocky about his self-harm. "I get to be the one who hurts me now! I decide when and where and how! I can cut myself, or burn myself, or smash my hand with something and it's all up to me how far to go. No one else gets to hurt me, just me." And on and on like that, internally or out loud. Steve is going crazy with it and it takes him forever to understand that whole reason Bucky wants to be the one to hurt himself is that he genuinely cannot comprehend the possibility of no one hurting him.
