Bodyswap naturally involves both of them--half the fun is that either one's experience will be haunted by the shadow of the other's POV--but the prompt tilts towards Steve trash. Hijacking the optional bonus to make it so Bucky's experience is all about Bucky's pain and Steve's experience (of being raped, for Christ's sake) also consists entirely of appreciating Bucky's pain is fucking rude. I realize it's myopia rather than malice, but ffs, we just had a giant thread about woobie!Bucky's angst smothering everything else.
I'm not objecting to Steve having feelings about Bucky's pain, just to be clear. Steve and Bucky having feelings about each other's pain is delicious. But I'm really tired of Steve apparently never having any feelings about anything else that are worth talking about. Not even when the prompt is kinking on stuff like Steve resisting his fundamental need to fight back during a traumatic rape because he's so committed to putting the mission above himself.
