HYDRA are always looking for new ways and reasons for punishing the Asset. Eventually, one of them figures out that humiliation works an absolute treat, so they take to punishing poor little Bucky for the most simple things like dropping a knife, or saving a butterfly because somehow he can feel pity. I'm gonna let you guys go wild with this one, just make sure that there's a whole bunch of humiliation in there.

+ if Bucky is with Steve at some point and he makes a mistake and flips the fuck out.

I love the image of the Winter Soldier eating a butterfly. Like, he just keeps his hand still next to the branch until the butterfly moves onto his finger, then carefully brings the hand up to his face, looks at the butterfly closely, then calmly and silently puts it right in his mouth, chews, swallows. Goes on about his mission.

The entire STRIKE team just stares. Murphy can't even close his mouth.
