Dumpster #3: The Great Pacific Garbage Patch

Holy shitballs, look at us go. Welcome to Captain America fandom's resident wretched hive of scum and villainy: ROUND THREE. AKA Bad Guys Do Dirtybadwrong Things To Your Faves, AKA the Hydra Trash Party kinkmeme. As usual, BLANKET NON-CON AND NSFW WARNINGS apply: just assume going in that everything in this landfill is unfit for human consumption.

Rules in brief: don't be a jerk except to fictional characters, warnings for particularly fucked-up garbage are nice but not required, thou shalt not judge the trashiness of thy neighbor's kinks unless thy neighbor is trying to pass off their rotting banana peels and half-eaten pizza crusts as a healthy romantic dinner for two, off-topic comments may be chucked out of the dumpster at management's discretion, management's discretion decrees that omegaverse, soulbond AUs, D/s-verse, non-superpowered AUs, and dark!good guys AUs are off-topic.

[Round 1] [Round 2] [Fill post] [Chatter post] [hydratrashmeme Pinboard archive (maintained by [personal profile] greenkirtle)] [Round 3 in flat view (comments in non-threaded chronological order, most recent last)]

Round 3 is closed; comments and fills in existing threads are still welcome, but all new prompts go to Round 4.

Oh wow.

Bucky had taken Steve hard in the shower, with the water cascading over them, Bucky pinning Steve’s hands to the tile as he claimed him. Bucky must have known, then, what today’s mission would hold for him, and he had given everything, all of himself, to Steve anyway.

and for some reason, this was the line that killed me.

You don't want to know what Bucky's internal monologue was while that was happening. Cuz, y'know, he had to fortify himself against what he knew was going to happen. :(

I also REALLY want to know. Mostly because this is one of the few times Steve has seen Bucky naked in the 21st century, no? So Bucky must have been giving himself one hell of a pep talk.

*puppy eyes*

Author!anon, what are the chances of a short prequel from Bucky's pov?

You think Bucky was looking at that like it was gonna be the last time? Steve was probably gonna find him after the mission, bloody and beaten with come dried in his hair, and Bucky wouldn't be able to hide the truth from him anymore. And clearly this Bucky has some self worth issues. How could Steve be remotely interested in him once he knows where Bucky's been?

Hah, that's not actually how I read it, but god I love that interpretation even more.

I sort of assumed he still thought he could get away with it without Steve knowing - but that he knew that any progress he made in his relationship with Steve, and any personal development he made in reclaiming bodily autonomy would be completely erased, and he didn't know if he could come back from it a second time.

So it was a combination of his last time choosing to have sex while knowing he was capable of consent, and potentially goodbye sex if it he'd get too screwed up this time around, or worse, get reprogrammed or killed.

A combo of the two works too, I think.
