Better, "bitch/Hündin" and "whore/Hure" are both feminine nouns. The gender of the person referred to doesn't matter, grammatically. If Steve knows the words at all, he associates them with women; to a native English speaker it seems weird to refer to a man with a feminine noun or vice-versa, even though speakers of languages with genders do it routinely.
