Aw, your hopeful interpretation did not occur at all to my sad, dark mind, but I really like it. If Bucky can project his feelings of violation onto his apartment, it means he might be able to attach that sense of violation to his own person one day. Which could be an excruciatingly painful process for him, but healthy! He may never want to have sex again, but he may at least be able to establish and protect that boundary.
