I just spend most of this section staring at my computer with the saddest heart eyes going, "Jaaammeessssss, darling sweetheart adorable child, I don't know how to feeeeeel." He's so thrilled to be Steve's property, but Steve totally doesn't mean property when he says exclusive relationship. And then Bucky mentions Dave, and now I am off to read the second half of this!

Bucky doesn't really know how to feel either! Except with regard to the idea of exclusivity, of course - he is simply and purely happy about that. (He knows he has no agency, when it comes to sex, but - if he's a thing and not a person, he really likes the idea of being a protected thing, a thing that someone owns.) And he definitely didn't mean to mention David, that's not a conversation he ever wanted to have, he just - let his guard down, for a moment, because he was happy.
