Shortly after Bucky falls from the train, he begins living in his mind to escape the torture of his body's re-training. He imagines a lovely world where the war is over, and he shares an apartment with his best friend and his best friend's gal.

But why does Peggy crawl into his bed sometimes at night, so demanding? Why does Steve, who's always been so gentle, begin to fuck him so mean and so rough? Why when he's making a sandwich in the sun-warm kitchen does he suddenly see himself wearing strange black armor, surrounded by dead and dying bodies?
