Dumpster #3: The Great Pacific Garbage Patch

Holy shitballs, look at us go. Welcome to Captain America fandom's resident wretched hive of scum and villainy: ROUND THREE. AKA Bad Guys Do Dirtybadwrong Things To Your Faves, AKA the Hydra Trash Party kinkmeme. As usual, BLANKET NON-CON AND NSFW WARNINGS apply: just assume going in that everything in this landfill is unfit for human consumption.

Rules in brief: don't be a jerk except to fictional characters, warnings for particularly fucked-up garbage are nice but not required, thou shalt not judge the trashiness of thy neighbor's kinks unless thy neighbor is trying to pass off their rotting banana peels and half-eaten pizza crusts as a healthy romantic dinner for two, off-topic comments may be chucked out of the dumpster at management's discretion, management's discretion decrees that omegaverse, soulbond AUs, D/s-verse, non-superpowered AUs, and dark!good guys AUs are off-topic.

[Round 1] [Round 2] [Fill post] [Chatter post] [hydratrashmeme Pinboard archive (maintained by [personal profile] greenkirtle)] [Round 3 in flat view (comments in non-threaded chronological order, most recent last)]

Round 3 is closed; comments and fills in existing threads are still welcome, but all new prompts go to Round 4.

(ayrt) Oh he is definitely sexually attracted to Bucky, but probably has some inner moral turmoil going on over it, possibly finding that attraction (and maybe the temptation? maybe he is a bit tempted by the offers) to be kind of dirtybadwrong in the light of not being sure of The Asset's ability to consent/say no/acknowledge consent as a thing that applies to The Asset/etc. I agree with the nonnie that said the sticking point for Steve would be the issue about consent, so I envision Steve dealing with some very conflicting emotions about that and eventually breaking a bit. Like, the idea of acting on his attraction to Asset/Bucky when he offers himself up would initially feel wrong, but as time goes on and it becomes apparent that this new personality is solid and Steve comes to accept it as a valid one, choking himself on The Asset's dick in the interest of making him happy is at least worth a try, right? for the greater good, maybe? agreeing to something slightly sketchy in order to make Asset/Bucky 2.0 happy is worth it, right? because this is the best they are going to get? (And The Asset thinks it is the best thing ever.)

(op) I love every part of this! You lay out the consent issues so beautifully. While I don't think of Steve as insensitive to nuance or intolerant of moral complexity, I do think that he has a clear and powerful sense of Right and Wrong. If the Asset, who can't say no, is offering sexual service simply because he has to, accepting those offers would be Wrong - it would be taking advantage. But if the Asset, who can't say no, is offering sexual service because he wants to, telling the Asset that he isn't really able to want or that what he wants is somehow invalid is . . . not exactly Right. God, now I'm imagining Steve reaching a place where he's come to accept the Asset's identity and autonomy just enough to be tempted, but not yet enough to give in. I would love to watch him navigate (read: SUFFER THROUGH) this moral morass!
