Coupled with Steve swallowing the hurt and trying his best to hide that exact thing, even though he's just been brutalized in a way he didn't even know was possible, because he hates letting people down and he doesn't want anybody seeing him as weak after what just happened. Just fuck me up, man, just fuck me up.
