There really isn't enough of this around anymore. People are probably confused as to how to write it but it'd be cool to see more if done evenhandedly and subtly.

See that's why I love it though (not OP). I tend to be more into Bucky-centered stuff myself, but he grew up in the first part of the 1900's too, yet I am still to find a trash story where someone incorporated that (i.e. how old-fashioned ideas about sex ad masculinity would play into thinking about and dealing with rape - especially male-on-male rape - because that's going to have an influence.) Even if you the sweetest guy with the biggest heart, the culture you grew up in will influence you.
