Dumpster #3: The Great Pacific Garbage Patch

Holy shitballs, look at us go. Welcome to Captain America fandom's resident wretched hive of scum and villainy: ROUND THREE. AKA Bad Guys Do Dirtybadwrong Things To Your Faves, AKA the Hydra Trash Party kinkmeme. As usual, BLANKET NON-CON AND NSFW WARNINGS apply: just assume going in that everything in this landfill is unfit for human consumption.

Rules in brief: don't be a jerk except to fictional characters, warnings for particularly fucked-up garbage are nice but not required, thou shalt not judge the trashiness of thy neighbor's kinks unless thy neighbor is trying to pass off their rotting banana peels and half-eaten pizza crusts as a healthy romantic dinner for two, off-topic comments may be chucked out of the dumpster at management's discretion, management's discretion decrees that omegaverse, soulbond AUs, D/s-verse, non-superpowered AUs, and dark!good guys AUs are off-topic.

[Round 1] [Round 2] [Fill post] [Chatter post] [hydratrashmeme Pinboard archive (maintained by [personal profile] greenkirtle)] [Round 3 in flat view (comments in non-threaded chronological order, most recent last)]

Round 3 is closed; comments and fills in existing threads are still welcome, but all new prompts go to Round 4.

Yandere Bucky

I know it sounds stupid, but hear me out...

The Asset has been trained and retrained many times after his wipes. He is taught what to do and what NOT to do. For most of these training sessions, one order is always present: "let nobody approach your handler," or something along those lines. The Asset knows to treat anyone who approaches his handler as a threat, and will dispose of them if he deems it neccessary. He always claims that he was protecting his handler when he's punished for it.

Give me post-WS Bucky's confusion because he thinks the same rules apply to every "handler" he has, and Steve's reaction when Bucky "disposes of" someone who he thought would get too close to his precious handler.
+ if Rumlow encourages this behaviour because it's a sign that the Asset isn't just some mutt with training.
++ if Bucky's overprotective instincts slowly develop into assumptions that everyone who gets close to his Handler is trying to take them away from him.
+++ if Bucky fails his duty to protect his handler, and the punishment is so bad that he refuses to let ANYONE near his handler in case they're a threat.
+++++ if Steve finds him but he already has a partner (Sam, Nat, etc.) and Bucky won't stand for that.
+++++++ if any Stucky involved isn't fluffy at all. It's centred around Bucky's "If you make friends with them, you might fall in love with them and leave me" mindset, and Steve's dubious compliance with this. There can be fluff, but it's bittersweet.
