Whether by happenstance or on purpose, Hydra programmed the Winter Soldier to only come under specific circumstances. He can still perform outside those parameters but no matter how hard he tries (or gets, ayyy), he just can't come unless he's a) the one taking it and b) being watched.

Cue a metric fuckton of awkwardness and discomfort as he re-enters a sexual relationship with Steve, who's quick to piece together that something's Wrong when Bucky never seems to come. How's that conversation going to go when Bucky's trash past comes to light?

+++ Steve feeling inadequate & angry that he isn't enough to make Bucky come on his own
+++ Bucky being ashamed of his needs but so much more gratified when they finally have a third party watching them but kinda hating that fact too
++++++ Flashbacks, whether narrative or psychological! What was it about sex in private that made it so much worse?
