(OP) This is so wonderful and beautifully written. The rape itself is heartbreaking, and Bucky's pain, confusion, and shame are intensely palpable. Damn, Benny is such a predator, getting Bucky alone, getting him incapacitated -- and the immediate flood of homophobia that pours out of his mouth as soon as his intentions become clear is horrible, especially since it seems like Bucky readily internalized it. POOR BUCKY. THE SELF-HATRED (which is my catnip :D). It's going to be so painful to see him being forced to interact with this asshole! What an extra twist of the knife that they even WORK together!

I also love that you took the whole "Steve walks in on a non-con kiss" idea even further and made it even worse -- Steve can tell they had sex. Once he figures out he walked in not half a minute after the completion of Bucky's rape... ouch, ouch, ouch. This is so good!

Ahhhh, thank you so much for this comment! <3 Yeah, I kinda imagine Benny as a less intense version of fragile-masculinity!Rumlow, who is totally not gay, Bucky's just so pretty and totally asking for it! He's also absolutely a predator, and is going to take as much advantage as he can of this situation.

I do have one question for you, though: I've ended up planning out two possible endings, one of which is very Stucky, and one of which is more vague/Bucky remains just pining. I'm leaning towards the Stucky ending, but if you have a preference I can go with the other one!
