Ooh my godd this is such a great use of Rumlow's pov, I love it so much! I'm writing the fill that I think you're referring to, I'm delighted to see the piercing thing stolen - I p much stole it myself from headcanons about Bucky reclaiming his body going around tumblr shortly after the movie came out, and it's not something I've come across much in fic, esp long, drawn out, post-ws recovery fic :(

Everything about this fic is perfect, maybe my fav thing is Bucky stiffly copying the body language around him (and Rumlow realising this!). And the blushing! And Brock directing his complaints about Marvin Gaye to Sam, not Bucky!

(the worst thing is that the first time I read this through it didn't even register with me that Rumlow refers to Bucky as "it" - I'm reading too much trash....)

aaaaahhhh thank you, my Rumlow is based a lot on your Rumlow, I love not-quite-recovered Bucky being used as a thing to hurt Steve, it hurts all my buttons.
