(Anonymous) 2015-04-03 02:18 pm (UTC)(link)Your Sam characterization is wonderful -- I want to second all the comments about how you kept his essential gentle, compassionate Sam-ness, but also portrayed him as unprepared for the reality of Bucky's abuse, as well as having not quite been able to see Bucky as much other than, you know, scary as hell.
You've also done a great job of setting up Sam's internal conflict re: telling Steve about the photos. I liked that it wasn't just a matter of Bucky's privacy vs being equipped to help him (and I very much appreciated how strongly Sam wanted to protect Bucky's privacy, that is so important), it was also that Sam was worrying about how much Steve could handle. Which, yes, he would be totally devastated.
Speaking of devastating, the content of the photos is just horrific! :D!
I am so happy, and I'm really looking forward to more!
