i love how hard the boys have to work to get it right here. i feel like a lot of times in fic, it's like, "it's our first time doing a scene but we're somehow magically bdsm experts who get everything perfectly right!" whereas here, i love the fact that they make mistakes, they get things horribly wrong, they have go around in circles and re-negotiate and struggle to communicate with each other. it's really lovely and refreshing. every installment of this is so smart and sexy at the same time. also, oh my god, steve practicing begging. oh my GOD.
