I'm imagining this like the 'what if things went differently' scene in chapter 12, just more fleshed out and with Bucky actually shamefully masturbating to fantasies like that.

Basically once he's no longer on edge 24/7, his need for touch get worse and his libido starts returning with a vengeance. But because he has no healthy concept of sex at all, he concludes he's craving the things Hydra did to him.

For obvious reasons he tries to fight those urges, but eventually fails. Maybe he starts with Hydra memories and then turns to all kinds of hotwrong dark Avengers fantasies. I could also imagine him being super fed up with the fact that he always got to be everybody's fucktoy, so he starts fantasizing about other people servicing him for once. Maybe Steve and/or Sam first, until he works up to the ultimate power trip with him ordering everybody else around. Thoughts?

omg yes (and honestly this is where I thought/hoped 12 was going, but it works good as is too). would Sam/Steve actually get involved in any of what Bucky's seeing as trashwrong (though probably not after what Sam's heard and Steve is going to hear, more like a what if scenario?) Because Sam or Steve's reactions once they found out how Bucky was seeing it /that Bucky thought he was using them would be pretty heartbreaking. Or ugh just Bucky working himself around to what ever he thinks is healthier/more empowering fantasies

Aw, I see why you hoped this chapter would go there and I apologize for the wait. But consider this: HYDRA never let the Winter Soldier touch himself (for added trashiness so he had to ask for it). Now, he can't just jerk off, he panics because their threats still linger. SO. Imagine the only other way they allowed him to get off (because they're bad sadistic people with a wicked sense of humor and they've been telling him he's nothing but an animal anyway) was to make him hump/rub against things. And that's where he, positively mortified, has to start now until he's well enough to just jerk off in the shower. So, erm. That's where the sequel is going.

My thoughts are GOD YES and ohohohohohoh if after Steve finds out, sometime further down the line... Steve and maybe Sam too help him role play these fantasies in all kinds of configurations, so that he can experience similar kinds of touch in a situation where he can safeword and ultimately has control and so he gets to see what it's like to be the one in power... Yeah, if the Unwholesome Recovery Sequel takes THAT tack, I will never cease in my quest to unearth the finest trash from every landfill in the country and lay it gently at your precious, glorious feet.

Which is not to say I don't want to read about Bucky's fantasies and the no doubt mountain of angst that accompanies said fantasies. Cause I most surely do.
