(Anonymous) 2015-08-06 02:35 am (UTC)(link)Because I'm apparently going to hell already(yay,) what about the bodily damage he could suffer from a failed suicide attempt? What if Bucky tried to overdose and failed, and now he has to deal with severe organ damage too? How much would he hate himself? One of his favorite things after HYDRA was how much flavor the food had, but now he can barely stomach them. He can't perform strenuous activity without internal pain and bleeding, and Steve no longer lets him join them in the field. How useless does he feel? Getting out of bed used to be hard, but now getting out of bed makes him throw up 75% of the time. What if he burns his esophagus so much that he has to be fed intravenously, again, like HYDRA used to? And the kidney damage? Having to be put on dialysis? He never wanted to see a doctor again, but now here he is, and he's so ashamed. How much does he hate Steve for being sad over all this so he feels obligated to stay alive? How much does he hate himself for how sad Steve looks all the time?
