Steve gets together with the partner of your choice, they're ready to start having sex, Steve expresses curiosity about bottoming... and when they try it, he's so fucking tight it almost doesn't happen. But Steve's enjoying the prep, and his partner's surprisingly into how much of a blushing virgin he is, so they agree to give it a shot.

Only when Steve's actually got a dick up his ass does the bombshell drop: his partner starts talking dirty about how amazing it feels to deflower him, and Steve braces himself and admits he's not a virgin. The curiosity, the shame, the total inability to relax or loosen up--they're all due to a violent rape at the hands of '40s Hydra, which Steve kept secret and never really dealt with. He's been enjoying experiencing the act for real with someone he trusts, but it's still stressful, especially when he's worried what his partner will think when the truth comes out.

Comfort and reassurance and careful, tender sex are appreciated, of course, but an extra garbage crown if talking about it is weirdly, guiltily hot for both of them. The thrill, the trust and vulnerability, the reclaiming of something painful, the layer of distance provided by storytelling, the guts it takes to survive that and climb right back up on the horse that threw you--they both get off, hard, and aren't sure how to feel about it.

Aw jeez, if it's Bucky there would have to be extra backstory to explain why the hell he didn't find out about it at the time. And why the hell Steve never told him post-TWS. And it's probably extra-painful. Maybe Bucky bristles at any insinuation that he might've been sexually abused by Hydra, because as terrible as his life was, he was still too intimidating to be brought to that level of degradation. And Steve's relieved for him, but it sure doesn't make him eager to take a gamble on whether he's finally found something Bucky would look down on him for...

Aaand this comment makes it for me 100%. This is such a good prompt and kind of a rare dumpster beast.

HNG. I love the way you think. Steve being all careful when it comes to sex, thinking Bucky may have been assaulted. Then Bucky realizes what Steve's thinking and Bucky's all like 'Ha, I'd like to see them try to rape me!'
And Steve is just like 'Ha, yeah.' While internally he's feeling 90 pounds and five feet tall again.
I could see Steve not telling Bucky because he wouldn't want Bucky to be upset or hurt, like Bucky would have taken it as a personal failing at the time that he didn't protect Steve. Or because Steve is just that stubborn and stoic, like "I'm fine, it wasn't that bad," etc.

Also, if it's Sam, he's feeling horribly guilty because he's a trauma counselor but here he is getting off on the idea of being Steve's first consensual experience. Like 'Am I taking advantage of the fact that he's never had anyone else who treated him right?' And analyzing all his own motives.
