This is apparently my bullet-proof trash. I want this. I refuse to start another fill with one already in progress but once that other one is done... MAYBE. (And someone else should fill it if they want!)

Because Bucky is obviously convinced that not only has the rape made him dirty but all of his scars and the added muscle mean he's not even nice looking the way he used to be, the way all those girls back in Brooklyn told him he was.

Would it be okay if and also Steve's probably still freaked out because it's great not being sick? (He'll never be upset about not being sick.) But his body is still just SO DIFFERENT that sometimes it really doesn't feel like his and he's not sure but he doesn't think most people are really into bodies like his anyway (he's seen some of the comments that get thrown at weightlifters, okay? the way people say those guys are gross and obviously on steroids and how they must all have shrunken dicks and he doesn't think anything happened to his penis when he got the serum but it isn't like he makes a habit of checking out other men's penises and he tried to Google for that but that's also when he learned why Safe Search was important and had Jarvis turn it on immediately, ahem).

I want to encourage you in all this and also suggest that Bucky thinks of himself, fairly literally, as a monster. We of course, behind the fourth wall, may enjoy his build but he knows he's basically an ogre - something big and strong that hurts people horribly. Maybe a lot of it revolves around the metal arm - he can barely stand to look at it and the thought of it actually touching Steve has the power to make him vomit.

Oh, absolutely - he'd rather lose the arm than hurt Steve with it so maybe he forces himself to approach Tony about having it removed. And Tony is all, "Uh, champ, I'm not sure that's the best idea," (and who knows, maybe Bucky makes some lewd suggestions in payment if Tony will just do it and Tony is like, no can do) and then Bucky goes back to the apartment and feels extra betrayed because he went through all of that and feels a) rejected by Tony because Bucky is so much a monster he can't even bargain with sex and b) that was his only hope for redemption.

Oh god, then if Tony *realizes* what he accidentally did to Bucky... maybe Jarvis lets him know that something is Going Down in Bucky's sympathetic nervous system, and Tony has his own issues with panic, what the hell is he supposed to do about someone else's? and now he's broken Cap's boyfriend and one or both of them is probably going to kill him while he sleeps and what would that do to Pepper and how does he apologize without accepting sexual favors from a brainwashed assassin--?
