Okay, kids, you know the drill. Don't be a jerk except to fictional characters. Warn if you want, but read at your own risk, because hydratrashmeme is about as far from a safe space as you can get. Garbage we like: noncon, whump, aftermath, violence, mind control, inappropriate uses of Bucky Barnes' metal arm, bad guys doing dirtybadwrong things to your faves. Garbage you should find a different trashcan for: a/b/o, D/s-verse, soulbonds, mundane AUs, OOC evil!good guys doing dirtybadwrong things to your faves, rotting leftovers dressed up as a romantic gourmet meal. Nothing wrong with 'em, but this isn't the crowd you should be pitching to if you're trying to sell Brock Rumlow as anything but a human dumpster fire.

BARF gone terribly wrong

In order to help Bucky work through some of his Hydra trauma, he gets hooked up to Tony's BARF machine from CACW, except that Bucky's trauma overloads what the algorithm can handle re: processing it to make it less traumatic, and Bucky's trapped in an increasingly terrible simulation where it's not clear to him or observers what happened to him and what the machine is making worse as the process backfires. Cue the science avengers (Tony, Bruce, Jane, Nat, whoever) trying to hackcthe machine or other people (Steve, Sam?) going in after Bucky, except that everything everyone does just makes the simulation worse, maybe even picking up these other people's traumas and inflicting them on Bucky/accidentally revealing them to everyone else/inflicting Bucky's traumas on everyone else.

Just fuck me up with accidental trauma sharing, please.

GOD YES! I posted a prompt on the CW thread that sadly went unanswered. I really hope someone fills this, I'm dying for some BARF trash!

There’s this fic I’m following that got some elements of it, the BARF can’t support the extent of Bucky’s trauma, no rape however, Tony centric, but includes a very interesting journey through Bucky’s mind, it’s called Terminal velocity: http://archiveofourown.org/works/6823951
If you’re looking for some good rehashing of past Bucky torture you’ll love it, especially chapter 6 through 8 :)

rando anon here, but oh man, deffo enjoyed chapters 6 and 7. And Bucky and Tony talking in ch 10 is totally my jam. Thanks for the rec!
