Okay, kids, you know the drill. Don't be a jerk except to fictional characters. Warn if you want, but read at your own risk, because hydratrashmeme is about as far from a safe space as you can get. Garbage we like: noncon, whump, aftermath, violence, mind control, inappropriate uses of Bucky Barnes' metal arm, bad guys doing dirtybadwrong things to your faves. Garbage you should find a different trashcan for: a/b/o, D/s-verse, soulbonds, mundane AUs, OOC evil!good guys doing dirtybadwrong things to your faves, rotting leftovers dressed up as a romantic gourmet meal. Nothing wrong with 'em, but this isn't the crowd you should be pitching to if you're trying to sell Brock Rumlow as anything but a human dumpster fire.

Gladiators remix: the ENTRASHENING

Sad to see a gladiator prompt go away due to the lack of trash, so let's crank the dehumanization up to 11, take a hard left at badwrong, and kink on the wrongness of noncon, shall we?

Gladiator fights, where losing is horrifying and winning ain't so great either.

Some possibilities:
- Losing means losing a limb. Winning means you get an artificial limb. --- option a) The Asset is pointed to as an example of "winning" even though winning just means being put into an experimental limb grafting program that the winner most likely won't survive.
--- option b) early captivity Bucky must win the fights in order to "earn" his limb. So even though he knows winning means bad things happening to other people, he wants to stay alive because he doesn't want Steve to show up to a corpse.
------ maybe, the way to "win" is to pin the other person down and rape them. Or to be the one to remove the limb. Bucky knows *exactly* how that feels -- the humiliation, the dehumanization, etc. But he does it anyway, even though he hates himself for it. And later, when he finds out that Steve's been dead and he did all those horrible things for *nothing*...

WS vs. Widows or other WS gladiator fights, where losing means more "retraining", and winning means a "reward". Except that the reward is super shitty, like:
- being bred, because clearly your genes are better. Cue either being milked for gallons of your sperm, forced to fuck Widows until someone gets pregnant, or getting non-consensually impregnated.
- getting private attention from one of the higher-ups. Basically at the whim of one twisted sadist instead of the usual brutality.
- getting assigned to dole out all the punishments in the future -- being forced to torture/rape/kill others because obviously you're the best at it
- getting a day of "luxury" followed by a wipe to make them forget everything and getting thrown back into the gladiator pits

And throughout all of this -- it's clear that neither combatant wants to fight, but they *have* to fight, Hunger Games style. Is it better to "win" or "lose"? Can you stand to rape/hurt/kill someone who you've trained or grown attached to?

Thank you for this! I'm the OP of the Gladiator prompt, and while I understand why it was frozen, this is pretty close to what I wanted (minus the rape/breeding part, I wanted focus on the violence, but I'm cool with it) so thank you so much for being able to trashify it for me when I couldn't. I love the idea of the winner having to rip a limb off the loser, and I love even more the idea that Bucky would do it because he hopes to be rescued by Steve.

Just to clarify for potential fillers: violence is good and all, but I want the focus to be on the lack on control/choice in any of the actions. Removal of bodily autonomy, whether it's by forced fighting, forced rape, or forced body modifications -- being forced to make choices where there *are* no choices, losing your humanity and dealing with the aftermath of that --- that be my jam.

To original gladiator-prompt anon: I'm sorry your original prompt got frozen, but this here trashmeme seems to kink harder on the noncon and less so on the violence, so ... yeah. If extreme violence gets you going, sweet, and feel free to prompt that. (It's not really my thing -- not a squick, but I really need the emotional noncon angle to make it work.)
