Garbage you should find a different trashcan for: a/b/o, D/s-verse, soulbonds, mundane AUs, OOC evil!good guys doing dirtybadwrong things to your faves, rotting leftovers dressed up as a romantic gourmet meal. Nothing wrong with 'em, but this isn't the crowd you should be pitching to if you're trying to sell Brock Rumlow as anything but a human dumpster fire.

A/N: So, I do have this fic sort of plotted out, but...writing Bucky as the perpetrator of rape (regardless of the circumstances) is just so viscerally upsetting for me that I don't think I have the stamina to follow through on the full thing, at least not right now. So, a snippet of the fic-that-might-be:

It’s instinct, to step forward and push Sam out of the way of the projectile, but now that it’s your own body in its path your metal arm stays frozen at your side.

It hits you hard on the temple, splitting the skin and shattering as it does: a glass bottle. Through the white rush of pain you hear Steve snarl with shocked fury, whirling on the crowd like he’s going to fight all of them at once, and you can’t make yourself move, not even to clutch at where blood is beginning to pour into your left eye; in the end it’s Sam who muscles you down the steps and into the car. You blink, and you’re staring out through the car window over Sam’s shoulder as he puts pressure on your head wound, Steve holding onto the steering wheel with a white-knuckled grip as you get the hell out of there. The crowd is still yelling outside, screaming all the things you’ve been trying to pretend that you aren’t: murderer, rapist, monster; and there’s something almost like relief in your chest as the sound of it washes over you. You don’t have to pretend anymore. Sam and Steve will finally have to face the truth.

A hand-drawn sign skates past your blurry eyes, and you can’t help the ragged laugh that claws its way out of your throat at the sight of it: burn in hell. As if that’s the worst thing that a person can endure. You remember how the icy confines of the cryo chamber had burned every part of you. You remember what it felt like to die in that small metal prison, over and over again. You remember how, eventually, you'd craved it.

You laugh again, tasting blood in your mouth. Steve says something that you don’t hear. Sam takes his hand away from your bleeding head and instead grips at your shoulders with both hands, pulling you in close and then holding you tightly the way he and Steve do when it’s a bad night and sleep feels impossible. And you - ruined, selfish creature that you are - press your bloody face into the warm curve of his neck, and let him.

This was so good, I liked the use of second person POV! I also changed the subject line so people can see :)
