Dumpster #4: I Don't See How That's a Party
Okay, kids, you know the drill. Don't be a jerk except to fictional characters. Warn if you want, but read at your own risk, because hydratrashmeme is about as far from a safe space as you can get. Garbage we like: noncon, whump, aftermath, violence, mind control, inappropriate uses of Bucky Barnes' metal arm, bad guys doing dirtybadwrong things to your faves. Garbage you should find a different trashcan for: a/b/o, D/s-verse, soulbonds, mundane AUs, OOC evil!good guys doing dirtybadwrong things to your faves, rotting leftovers dressed up as a romantic gourmet meal. Nothing wrong with 'em, but this isn't the crowd you should be pitching to if you're trying to sell Brock Rumlow as anything but a human dumpster fire.

The song!! He's been humming it since the very beginning and now it comes into play at like, the perfect moment.
I love how both the Soldier and Steve are slipping -- the offer of a blowjob is overstepping so much for the Soldier, but he just wants to have a choice and offer a choice and he's malfunctioning so beautifully that I can't bear to think of what consequences are going to befall them.
And Steve. Steve allowing himself to think about Bucky in all these little ways. The crying omfg. And then the planting of the seeds of doubt in Steve's mind. With sperm omfg it is so out of left field but also so in line with everything else that's happened. I gasped out loud when I hit that twist. Steve's gonna be doing a lot of thinking over the next few days. In a way, the Soldier hasn't really told him any lies -- he *is* a prisoner, it's just that his other duties involve being the Winter Soldier.

We're coming up on the end now. I had a lot written already, so I'm hoping to have it completed and posted in the week or so. And then I'm taking a break to recover, ha. Holy shit this was hard to write. But insistent. The sequel will take longer to write, pretty sure. I really want to do them justice. Thanks for sticking around and reading this, and for everyone who's commented. I very much appreciate having company on this ride. These poor fucking guys. Honestly.
