Garbage you should find a different trashcan for: a/b/o, D/s-verse, soulbonds, mundane AUs, OOC evil!good guys doing dirtybadwrong things to your faves, rotting leftovers dressed up as a romantic gourmet meal. Nothing wrong with 'em, but this isn't the crowd you should be pitching to if you're trying to sell Brock Rumlow as anything but a human dumpster fire.

Thank you so much! I've really appreciated all the comments and enthusiasm. I probably would've written this one either way, tbh, because it really nagged at me and almost wrote itself, but I'm glad I decided to post it. This is so different from anything else I've written, and my longest work by far. I'm so pleased with how it worked out.

(I was like, is that one a step too far? Is this really necessary? Can I really do this? And then I remembered that this story is shameless id trash so that was all the justification I needed to drop him to the floor. Poor Steve. Although it did end up being poetic in a weird, roundabout way, what with that being the one bit of control he'd maintained and having to surrender it to escape. But absolutely, that came from the depths of my trashy heart. So I'm sort of amused that that's been singled out a couple of times for appreciation and glad it worked for you, too. I mostly want him to be happy and loved, and definitely so endgame-wise, but sometimes I just want to see him suffer so prettily in the meantime and see what he does. So glad the meme is still around. Thank you again.)
